However, you are not sure which oil to use! 

Start by looking at the cover of the oil tank in question.

It is important not to mix certain grade of brake oil.

For example, if the cover says to use Dot3 oil, you can use Dot4 oil.

On the other hand, if it is indicated to use Dot4, it is strongly advised not to use Dot3 oil.

The difference between the 2 oils is that the oil with the lower number, at a certain degree of heat, will lose all of its effectiveness.

Thus resulting in weak or no braking in certain cases!
